Public Folder forwarding "leave message intact" problem
I want to use Public folder to forward email to Sharepoint for archiving. I created Public folder, mail enabled, in Outlook I set followinf propertis of Public Folder in "Folder Assistant": * Drag/Drop posting is a : Move/Copy. * Rule contains only "Forward To", Method: "Leave message intact". This should forward all messages unmodified to the forwarding recipient It works OK when I copy/move email to public folder under Domain Admin account. For normal user (Domain User) it worsk for emails from other Domain User's or for external emails. But when normal user moves/copies mail from Administrator (Domain Admin), Exchange changes the sender of this mail to the Public folder email address and adds "Auto forwarded by rule" to the body of email. Exchange 2007 SP1 on SBS 2008. This behavior is not in conjuction with Sharepoint, the same behavior occures, when forwarding email from Public folder to user's mailbox. Any suggestions, how to resolve this bahavior? Thank You Rostislav

The behavior is the same in my lab Workaround: You can use the “Forward to” button in the properties of the public folder, or the transport rule, which can keep the “From” address as the original oneJames Luo TechNet Subscriber Support (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/subscriptions/ms788697.aspx) If you have any feedback on our support, please contact tngfb@microsoft.com
